AXA Health offers one month free cover through brokers
By Patrick Baxter, Founder & Health Insurance Broker Published · 4 min read
AXA Health is offering eligible new individual customers one month of free health insurance cover when they buy through a broker. The offer runs from 14 September to 13 November 2026 and applies to Personal Health, Health For You and inSpire Health Plan, including Child Only policies.
Pay monthly and your fourth instalment is waived. Pay annually and you pay for eleven months, with the usual 5% annual-payment discount applied afterwards. The saving applies in the first year only.
Which AXA Health plans qualify?
Personal Health, Health For You and inSpire Health Plan qualify when arranged through a broker with current AXA terms of business. Direct purchases are excluded. The separate AXA Health Plan is not one of the named eligible products.
New customers and switchers from recognised competitors can qualify, subject to the restrictions below. Ask your adviser to confirm the product name on your quote. See AXA’s promotion page.
Who is eligible for AXA’s one month free offer?
The purchaser must be over 18, with a UK address and UK GP registration. Child Only policies are included.
Quote, purchase and cover start must all occur within the offer period.
No membership of, or benefit from, schemes underwritten or administered by AXA Health or AXA Health Services Limited in the previous three months.
An initial quote received less than 60 days before the offer began disqualifies you, even if quoted again during it.
The broker must successfully apply the discount through AXA’s SIGMA system. Direct purchases are excluded. No other promotions can be combined; there is no cash alternative. AXA may amend or withdraw the offer.
The PDF specifies an end time of 11:59 on 13 November, not midnight. Confirm timing with your broker. Read AXA’s full terms (clauses 1–15).
How does the free month work?
Monthly payments: your fourth monthly instalment is waived.
Annual payment: you pay for eleven months, then receive the usual 5% annual-payment discount.
Illustration, not a quote: starting with £1,200 before either discount, eleven monthly payments of £100 total £1,100. Paying annually gives £1,100 × 0.95 = £1,045.
That is £155 below the assumed undiscounted £1,200, or about 12.9%. Against £1,140 with the annual-payment discount alone, the extra promotional saving is £95. Your actual quote and payment schedule determine what you pay.
Is it worth switching for one month free?
Our view as a broker: compare the cover and underwriting before the discount. An earlier quote or recent employer-provided AXA cover can also affect eligibility, so give your adviser those details before relying on the saving.
Medical history: ask how existing conditions, symptoms, treatment and pending investigations would be handled.
Benefits: compare outpatient limits, diagnostic tests, cancer cover and excesses on the actual quotes.
Access: check the hospitals and specialist referral arrangements you would use.
Budget: compare the first-year total and the undiscounted premium. Next year’s renewal price is not guaranteed.
Do not cancel existing cover until the replacement insurer has confirmed acceptance, terms and the start date. Our switching guide explains the questions to ask.
For wider background, read our AXA Health review. Check product-specific documents: benefits described for another AXA product should not be assumed to apply to these promotional plans.
